Yan Weixing: Now let´s talk about the second category of factors, which bring risks to food.

严卫星：第二块，我们再讲——我们分析原因嘛，给食品带来风险的原因。

Yan Weixing: If we use plain words that ordinary people can understand, food that doesn´t bring harm to our health is safe food.

严卫星：我想用我们老百姓比较容易理解的话来说，对我们的健康不带来危害的食品，那它就是安全的食品。

Yan Weixing: China now has a series of regulations, or national standards. That´s one way to decide. However, I don´t think it´s the only way.

严卫星：现在国家有一系列的规定，国家的标准，那么标准是一个评判的手段，当然我想标准也不是唯一的评判手段。

Yan Weixing: I think first of all we need to distinguish two terms: food additives and non-edible substances. They are completely different concepts.

严卫星：我觉得首先大家要分开一下，食品添加剂跟非食用物质是两个完全不同的概念。
